BRONZE-
The seeds of Bronze were planted, curiously enough, at an avant-garde Japanese noise show. Dylan Ryan and Scott McGaughey first met as teenagers at DePaul University in Chicago, recognizing each other as having attended the same Ruins show, kindred spirits converging in the Chicago indie rock underground. They played in various rock bands in the 90s, but they found they had a particular itch that was not scratched by the various projects they were involved in; a shared love for the likes of Robin Gibb, Roxy Music and the soundtracks of Tangerine Dream, the kind of shimmering studio productions that sound luxurious but still push the envelope.
GIANT DAY-
Giant Day is the new project of Elephant 6 Collective veterans Derek Almstead and Emily Growden. Both longtime partners and established musicians, they’ve worked, recorded and performed in Athens, Georgia for many years with multiple groups, including The Olivia Tremor Control, Circulatory System, Elf Power, The Glands, of Montreal, Faster Circuits and Marshmallow Coast to name a few. This latest musical iteration combines psych, art rock, post-punk and dream pop influences into a distinctive new sound.
GEODIZE-
Geodize is Chris Barth’s current solo project.
Chris has also played in The Impossible Shapes, Normanoak, and Glitter Brains, and lives and records in a holler in Brown county, Indiana.
